ACCENTS ADD APPEAL
Let's talk accents for a minute... A lot of people see accents as an afterthought, but that perspective is not true anymore. Accents (window treatments, flowers, vases, lamps, throw pillows, etc.) can really be the meshing point for a lot of spaces! I challenge you to go find a room that you really like, in a magazine, on Pinterest or Instagram, in a store, and take in all of the accent pieces that are placed in the room. If you left only the large pieces in the space, would you still like it as much? I would venture to say, no, you wouldn't. Keep this in mind the next time you are designing a room. Even small accent pieces can make a huge difference. It does not have to be anything incredible, just a simple vase of flowers, a piece of art on the mantle, or even a small arrangement of objects on the coffee table can tie the whole look that you're working on together. Accents are the finishing touches that a lot of people forget. It's the jewelry of your room!
